This is a simple pattern that uses half double crochet stitches for texture and stretch, and stripes of single crochet to add color.

The brim of the hat is designed to be worn turned up or straight down. This allows the hat to be worn longer as the baby grows

The small amount of yarn used here makes it perfect for using up scraps.

The pattern is adaptable for other sizes. For a preemie hat, eliminate round 5, continuing with 32 stitches. Then only complete 4 repeats of the sc/hdc rounds. The instructions otherwise remain the same.

Makes lots of these to give away. Just let everyone know you got the pattern here.
