This cute necklet is an enjoyable quick knit in a soft organic cotton as shown here, see the yarn info for details and knit kit options. It makes for a fun piece to wear either as a cute accessory or for more functionality, keeping your neck warm.
The almost square piece has one rounded side, the look is achieved with mitered corners. Wear it as a necklace, a collar, turn it ever so slightly and get a different look our your knit.
The pattern is fully written and offers a how to link for creating the I-cord bind off. It’s a 10” by 10” square with one side being rounded.
Yarn
C1 & C3 - Organic cotton in a DK weight, 125 yards/50 grams per skein. C1 & 2 1 skein each needed in contrasting colors, which enables you to knit two necklets.

Notions
US size 4 (3.5 mm) circular needle, 16”
(41 cm) in length.
4 Stitch markers.
Tapestry needle for finishing.
Gauge
16 sts and 36 rows in 4” of garter stitch, counting 18 ridges.
Techniques
Knitting in the round, color changes with yarn kept in back of work throughout, decreasing, changing needles, I-cord bind off, weaving in ends. The samples body was blocked but not the I-cord, to keep it nice and plump.
