When I started preparing for the Indie Untagled Retreat at Mount Rainier I dove into research about the mountain and park. As a native pacific north westerner, I have a lot of experience in the forests and beaches, but I was struck by the beauty of the wildflowers of the Subalpine zone at the mountain and knew this would be the jumping off place for this cowl design.

Use heavy scraps and mix and marl your yarns to create a textural and natural look to your fabric!

Thank you so much for your support of Subalpine. Please use the tag #subalpinecowl to share with me on instagram! Seeing your yarn choices and watching your progress is the greatest joy. Happy knitting!
