I love playing with different weights of yarn in the same project. This is a simple cowl to knit and you could use any weight of yarn as the main yarn. The needle size is decided based on the main yarn (Merino Aran in the sample) and lighter weight yarns are used for the accent colors.

In the sample the main color is Oracle with Spell and Harajuku as accents.

You will need:

  • 1 whole skein of Hedgehog Fibres Merino Aran (or other chunky main color)
  • 2 Hedgehog Fibres Sock Mini’s or gather an assortment of scraps for a creative and fun way to use leftovers!

I used the whole skein of the main color and approximately half of each mini skein to create the sample pictured. Happy knitting!
