Stitching in the “3rd loop” of hdc. After turning, work all stitches for that row in the 3rd loop of the hdc from previous row (it will be in the front). Instructions: Look at the top of the stitch, and locate the sideways “V”, bend the stitch to look at the back, and you should see another “V”. You’ll be working into the back loop of that “V”, this is called the 3rd loop. When working in rows, this loop will be facing you!

15 stitches in 4”

6 ½” tall when completed. Width will vary based on your calf circumference.

Additional Notes:
ch-1 at the beginning of the row/round does not count as a stitch.
Each row 3-8 each repeat should be 2 1/4 inches long. You will need to have a rough idea of the size of the calf of the person you are making this for. Here are some rough estimates to help you out:

Small: 5 total repeats (including first repeat)
Medium: 6 total repeats  (including first repeat)
Large: 7 total repeats  (including first repeat)
XL: 8 total repeats  (including first repeat)
