Suhotrav means “dry grass,” and at the end of a very hot summer, and in the original colours, I find the name rather fitting. It brings the warmth of summer into fall, with the colours of the dry grass matching the colours of the leaves.

The pattern calls for at least three colours of any sport/DK-weight yarn to match the gauge, making it ideal for using up leftovers and playing with multiple colours. The pullover is knit top-down in the round. The design features a round yoke with a high neck, short-row shaping of the yoke integrated into the colourwork pattern, a fully patterned body and classic tapered sleeves. You will also find a corrugated ribbing pattern on the neck, cuffs and as part of the colourwork pattern on the yoke and body.

You can take a closer look at my sample and discover the design process in episode 49 of my podcast on YouTube.
