SUKE-SUKE

スケスケ (Japanese) – revealing, allowing the other side and inside to show through

The highly textured patterning on this cowl design is achieved by working a continuous chess board of horizontal pleats while twisting of the stitches helps to protect their structural look. Then the stitches are dropped between the pleated columns to give this unique accessory a better draped look as well as width thus allowing the yarn to bloom fully. After blocking the cowl becomes reversible with each side being highly textured yet quite different.
