Sukha’s winter solstice bonnet can be knitted for newborns and up to 24 + months.

The decorative stitch used is called the broken rib stitch. A purl edge separates the ribbing from the broken rib pattern.
The winter solstice bonnet is knitted flat, on either straight or circular needles.
For the back shaping you have to option to knit flat or in the round. If the size you need is on the end of the size spectrum: choose the larger size, that way the bonnet can be used longer!
Size newborn will only fit a newborn baby in the first weeks, but was added by request.
For all techniques used there are great videos on Youtube.
