The Summer Garden gloves are knitted in the round either fingerless, as mittens or with a button back top and designed longer to gather at the wrist. The striking ‘Summer Garden’ colourway gives beautiful contrast making the patterns easy to follow.
I used Jamieson and Smith 100% Shetland, 2ply wool, which knits as 4ply and comes in wonderful range of colours. The bright floral and leaf style motif patterns of 6 stitch repeats makes the fingerless version ideal for a beginner to Fair Isle. The mitten and button back versions are a little more challenging.
The pattern offers two sizes, small and medium to large and includes clear coloured charts for the body of the glove and the mitten top.
