Wear it for yard work, wear it for an outdoor party, it looks great and works great either way! This elegant hat is functional and stylish, AND comfortable.

You can have it made in a day and worn the next. The pattern is simple, using one hook and only 4 stitch abbreviations: chain, slip stitch, single, and double crochet. It comes with 3 different pattern sizes, written separately for ease of reading, as well as directions for making a hat slightly smaller or larger (this technique is only advised for more experienced crafters with a general understanding of how patterns work.)

There is no extra material needed in addition to the raffia to keep the brim up.

Materials Needed:
3-6 mm raffia ribbon (300-400 yards)
5.5mm crochet hook
Large yarn needle

Optional decoration:
Ribbon (1 yard)
Matching thread for ribbon
Sewing or tapestry needle

The raffia used in the hat pictured was purchased on Amazon at the link listed below. It may not always be available. It was 459 yards per 9.6 oz, so raffia with a similar yardage and weight should yield the same results if the gauge is followed. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GPF6GR5/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_g...
