Summer Soft
SUMMER SOFT is worked in stockinette stitch and features a
simple silhouette and a slightly forward-tilted shoulder line.
The sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down. First, the
rib neck is worked in the round. Then, short rows are worked to
shape the neckline, before the yoke is worked in the round until
the total shoulder width is achieved.
The work is then divided into a front and back yoke, which are
worked back and forth. After this, stitches are picked up and
knitted along the armholes, and the work is again joined to be
worked in the round to the bottom of the armholes. Here, the
work is divided into body and sleeves.
The body is worked in the round and finished with a lightly
curved hem and a rib edge. The sleeves are also worked in the
round and finished with a rib edge at the cuff.
As the sweater is worked from the top down, it is easy to adjust
the length of the body and sleeves along the way to fit you perfectly.

The amount of positive ease you like in your clothes varies from person to person.
To help you choose which size to knit, measure one or more of your favorite sweaters so you can compare the measurements to those listed above.
My own Summer Soft has 38 cm of positive ease.
Generally, I would recommend 20-40 cm of positive ease, depending on the look and fit you want.
