A modern spaghetti strap tank top with a relaxed fit, worked mainly in simple stockinette stitch with gentle shaping. Featuring sideways-knit straps to help prevent stretching over time, this beginner-friendly pattern is perfect for summer, layering, and your first garment project.

The hem is worked in simple k1, p1 ribbing, and the rest is done in stockinette. There is shaping at the front - k2tog and slip, knit, pass slipped st over.

Needles size 5.5mm
Worsted yarn (I used mercerized cotton as it has that silken feel on the skin, which is perfect for summer tops)
190g – 220g – 250g – 300g – 350g – 410g as per sizes
Yarn needle for sewing up and loose ends

You can wear it in the summer as a camisole top, and in cooler weather it would look good under an open shirt or blazer.
