The Summerhill Hat & Cowl are named in honour of Summerhill, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary where I spent my school holidays with my beloved Nana. Many a happy day was spent venturing around her garden tending to her flower beds and strolling down the town to meet friends. The inspiration for this design stems from a local Bonfire night tradition, firstly celebrating May eve when Bonfires are lit to welcome the start of summer & and again at Halloween to celebrate the end of the Harvest season. The special stitch used here represents the flames dancing against the twilight sky.

Knit in the round, The Summerhill Hat & Cowl set is a fun quick knit & ideal for beginner and experienced knitters alike.

Instructions are written for 3 weights Aran, Chunky & Super Chunky.

There is a bonus Headband pattern included.

The easy to remember pattern repeat makes it ideal for Market Prep and for gifting.

To knit the hat and the cowl you will need 2 skeins of yarn in contrasting colours.
