Torc Falls Beanie
Named after the Torc Waterfall in Killarney, Co Kerry, Ireland. The Torc Falls Beanie features a central cascading cable that is flanked on both sides by a twisted cable. The cascading cable mimics the flow of the waterfall as makes its way down the hillside and the twisted cables represent the steep steps that ascend beside the falls allowing you access to some of the most breath-taking views of Killarney National Park.
The Torc Falls Beanie is designed to fit a head circumference of between 53 – 58 cm (21 – 23”).
This pattern is written for two weights, Chunky & Super Chunky.
Samples were knit using Malabrigo Mecha, 120 m (130 yd) in 100 g and Malabrigo Rasta, 82 m (90 yd) in 150 g, but any yarn that can meet the gauge stated can be used.
Chunky Gauge: 20 sts x 17rows in 10 x10cm (4 x4”)
Super Chunky Gauge: 11 sts x 12 rows in 10 x10cm (4 x4”)
