The perfect companion to the Sunday Morning Cowl, this hat knits up lickety split in my super soft Scrumptious Bulky yarn. Two skeins of yarn should allow you to knit both a cowl and a hat if you knit to gauge. The simple, yet striking stitch pattern makes this perfect for both speckled and tonal yarns.

The stretchy nature of the knitted fabric means the hat will fit many different head sizes, but you can easily make it smaller or larger by changing your cast on numbers in increments of 4, though you will need to do a little math when it comes to the crown decreases.

If you have extra yarn you can make it slouchy by extending the stitch pattern section by as many inches as you prefer. As written this is a fitted, beanie style hat designed to use up the leftover yarn from the Sunday Morning Cowl’s contrast color.
