Pattern has two options: for semi-circular, or 2/3 of a circle shawl. All mosaic colorwork here is simple, without increases/decreases within the pattern, hence it is CHARTED ONLY and easy to read/follow. You do need to be able to read charts, though. Lace panel at the bottom is also charted.
Materials. For the shawl as on photo (semi-circular, with 6 petals at the top), you will need 3 skeins of Malabrigo Metamorphosis: 2 skeins of Marrakesh and1 skein of Moraine Lake. I had enough of the Lake to knit all mosaic panels, but had to use different blue yarn for the line at the bottom (it took me about 9g/36m).
- circular needles 4.5mm wide with the wire long enough to accommodate 500+ sts.
For the shawl 2/3 of the circle, with 8 petals, multiply the yarn amount by 1.33 (that’ll make it almost 3 skeins of Marrakesh and 1.5 skeins of Moraine Lake).
Gauge: 22sts X 28rows = 10cm in garter.
Size: After blocking: 80cm drop, 220cm wingspan.
