Here I’ll show you how to crochet this sunflower with stem and leaves.

Level of difficulty: intermediate

MATERIALS NEEDED

1. Crochet hook 2.25 mm • US size B
2. YARN/ THREAD Yarnart Jeans (55% cotton+ 45% acrylic, sport weight, 50g/174yds each skein) Color A: green - 49 yds Color B: army green - 6 yds Color C: sun yellow - 70 yds Color D: brown - 4.5 yds
3. Others: Craft wire/ Floral wire size 0.8mm (Gauge 20) for the leaves

Craft wire/ Floral wire size 3.2 mm (Gauge 8) to make the flower stem. You can tape 4 pieces of 0.8mm wire together instead.

Fabric stiffener or white glue to starch the flower

A small amount of poly fill or fiber fill

Floral tape or masking tape (any color)

Gauge isn’t really important for this project as long as you are consistent.

If you use the same materials listed in this pattern, your sunflower would be about 15.5 cm (6.1 inches) diameter and 35 cm (13.8 inches) long. You can also crochet with other thread/ yarn and a suitable hook to make a bigger or smaller item.
