This bright and sunny hat is knit in the round from the top down and was inspired by daffodils on a sunny day. Its a mostly easy knit and all the increases are made using yarn overs.

The cables around the brim are joined as you go to the main body of the hat although it starts with a provisional cast on and kitchener stitch to end. There is an option to do this without the provisional cast on kitchener stitch. You could do the brim in a different colour if you wanted to.

You’ll want most of a 100g skein of DK yarn (around 250m).
