This asymmetrical triangular shawl was inspired by the warm evenings and deep dramatic sunsets on a gorgeous Cornish beach.

Suitable for a beginner. The design is a simple 2 row repeat that doesn’t require you to keep track of accurate stitch counts so the occasional error in the increases and decreases doesn’t really matter. Designed for a gradient set or a great stash buster.

Size:
The shawl has a span (width) of 75” (190 cm) and at the deepest part is 14” (36 cm).

Yarn required:
6 colours 200g total as follows:
200g in total of sock weight yarn with min 399yds (366m)/100g in 6 colours each 33g or 133yds (122m) per colour.

Gauge
24 sts and 26 garter ridges (52 rows) to 4 inches / 10 cm.
The gauge is really only important if you are using a gradient set (125m per colour) to ensure you do not run out of yarn, otherwise it doesn’t really matter, your shawl will just have different dimensions and yarn requirements.

Skill level:
Beginner. You must be able to knit, knit two together, increase by knitting into the front and back and front again and change colours.
