The Sunset Beach Tunic is a great all season sweater when knit in a cotton or cotton blend yarn. This two color tunic length sweater is A-lined, wider at the hip than the bust. Two different colors are used in a color-block technique on the front and sleeves, with the back in a solid color. It is equally effective using two different colors or two shades of a single color. The color changes are worked using the Intarsia method and instructions for this method are included in the sweater pattern. The sweater is knit using stockinette stitch, with Garter Stitch at the bottom edge, neck edge and sleeve edges. The neckline is ballet and the set-in sleeves are full length with the lower portion worked in a narrow stripe using both yarn colors. The same stripe is used on the optional patch pocket on the lighter color side of the front. The pattern uses DK weight yarn and sizes 3 (3.25mm) and 5 (3.75mm) needles.
