The sunshine headband is a knitted hairband perfect for using up any leftover fingering weight scraps from your summer projects.

It is knit up seamlessly by working the first I-cord tie, increasing to produce the main headband fabric, before decreasing again to work the second i-cord tie.

This is a one size pattern but can easily be adjusted.

Finished Length: 91cm
Finished Width: 4.5cm

Yarn

Filcolana Merci (200m in 50g): 1 skein (or 12g of leftovers).
OR
Rowan Summerlite 4 ply (175m in 50g): 1 skein (or 12g of leftovers).
OR
Any equivalent fingering weight yarn that you meet gauge on.

Needles

3 mm needles (DPNs, straight or circular will work for this pattern)

Gauge

25 sts × 30 rows = 10 × 10 cm in stockinette stitch, measured after light blocking.
Note: most of this pattern is done using measurements - so if you are off gauge by a little bit it doesn’t matter too much!
