I had a request for fingerless gloves, and warm ones. I could NOT FIND a pattern for bulky or super bulky weight yarn to save my LIFE! Why? Everyone calls fingerless mittens (“mitts”)… fingerless GLOVES… when they label them! After throwing a mini-fit (I swear my boyfriend heard “fingerless gloves have finger gussets, fingerless mitts have just one gusset! how hard is that?!” a couple hundred times), I sat down to scribble my own pattern. This is it.

It is very basic, I admit it! But the reason I sat to write it is so near-beginners don’t have to calculate a glove or fingerless glove knit with super bulky yarn if they don’t want to.

So have fun, be warm. And of course, if you want just plain gloves, knit them fingers a little longer and BO in one fell swoop when they’re long enough for your digits ;)
