This clutch is crocheted flat from the bottom up in one piece and is then seamed.

Super Bulky Weight (Category #6)

SHOWN HERE:
Lion Brand’s Wool-Ease Thick & Quick in Fisherman; 80% acrylic, 20% wool; 106 yards (97 meters)/6 ounces (170 grams) per skein
Totals = 1 skein = 106 yards, 6 ounces. You won’t be using the entirety of the skein (there will be about 1.5 oz left) so the yardage is likely closer to 80 yards / 4.5 ounces.
If you decide to use a different yarn, look for a similarly soft and fluffy wool-blend or wool one.

GAUGE:
8 rows x 4 pattern repeats (hdc, sc) = 4” x 4” square (10 cm x 10 cm). Go up or down in hook size if needed to achieve the correct gauge. Since this is an accessory and not a garment, it’s up to you whether you want to be strict about gauge or have the freedom of it being a little smaller or larger than the exact measurements. The gauge is checked by starting the pattern and confirming the measurements above, as opposed to creating a separate swatch before starting the pattern.
