Soft, chunky and beautifully textured, this beginner-friendly cowl is knitted flat on straight needles before being simply sewn together to create a cozy snood.

Using only knit stitches - or only purl stitches, depending on your preference - and a 1-row repeat, this is the perfect confidence-building project for new knitters, while experienced knitters will enjoy a relaxing weekend knit. On 8mm needles, it will knit up fast!

I used 2 strands of DK held together, but you can also use 1 strand of chunky:
100g for a closer fit, and 120g if you want a looser cowl.

You can have fun with colours, and use scraps for stripes.
