Susan Socks are inspired by the delicate chainmail armor that Susan Pevensie wears throughout her battles, displayed with tiny cables that frame the entire sock. They are made with a German short row heel and stockinette under-foot, making them stylish, comfortable, and able to be worn inside any shoe.

These socks are available in 2 sizes, which refers exclusively to the circumference of the sock. (The pattern includes instructions on how to customize foot length.) The smaller size is the standard sock size (meant to accommodate a 7-9.5in foot circumference) and the larger size is slightly bigger, to accommodate the same size range and larger. Choose the size that gives you your preferred ease. To slightly alter the size from here, you are welcome and encouraged to use whatever size needle you’re comfortable knitting socks with.

GAUGE: 30sts x 31rows over 4 x 4 inches, stockinette in the round
US 2 (2.75mm) needles, 9” circular, DPN, or preferred method

Like many sock patterns, this one requires one skein (100g) of fingering weight yarn. A skein with 400yds/100g is recommended.
