Take a really good look at this design, because it’s one of those rare prizes that looks magnificent in either a sparkly novelty variegate, as shown; or in a solid traditional aran or heavy worsted yarn -- because the stitchwork is lovely. The back is plain stocking stitch, which is great. The sleeves are 3/4 length, cuffed, which makes this more seasonless to wear. Raglan sleeves, especially when there are no patterns to match on the body, are easy to make and sew in. The rope cables on either side of the main motif are mirrored -- very classy, and a scarcer feature than one would like.
