Knitting is a passion that lasts a lifetime. Yarn and knitting needles have been by my side for more than 50 years. That is why I want to knit a luxurious jumper for myself as proof of my everlasting love for knitting – and also kind of for the anniversary. (You can also knit it for any other everlasting love of course.)
All around the globe, we show our fondness with two hands formed into a heart. The mathematical symbol for infinity, a toppled-over eight, is also a popular sign. This is why I decided to combine the two. A fine alpaca-silk-yarn in a deep blue is the base of this piece only knitted in knit and purl stitches. The jumper looks more intricate than it is and can be knitted by beginners, too. The cuffs are elongated and we will also add some at the shoulders. Straight sleeves are easy to knit. Only the big symbol on the front takes a bit more focus but the jumper is also beautiful without it.

Stricken ist eine Leidenschaft fürs Leben. Mich begleiten Wollknäuel und Stricknadeln seit mehr als 50 Jahren. Deshalb möchte ich mir sozusagen zum Jubiläum einen luxuriösen Pullover stricken, der meine nie endende Liebe zum Stricken dokumentiert. (Natürlich kann man ihn auch für jede andere nie endende Liebe arbeiten).
Überall auf der Welt zeigt man sich mit einem aus zwei Händen geformten Herz gegenseitige Zuneigung. Auch das mathematische Symbol für Unendlichkeit, eine querliegende 8, ist populär. So kam mir die Idee, beide Zeichen zu kombinieren. Ein feines Alpaka-Seidengarn in Meerblau bildet die Grundlage des nur aus rechten und linken Maschen gearbeiteten Teils. Obwohl das auch Strick-Anfänger meistern können, wirkt der Pullover raffiniert. Die Bündchen werden optisch verlängert und auch an der Schulter gearbeitet. Gerade angesetzte Ärmel sind leicht zu stricken. Nur das große Symbol auf dem Vorderteil erfordert Konzentration, der Pullover ist aber auch ohne das Symbol ein Hingucker.
