Materials Needed
Approx. 330 yards of Worsted/4 Weight Yarn
J/6mm Crochet Hook
4 buttons – 1 to 1 ½ inch in diameter
Measuring tape
Scissors
Stitch Markers
Tapestry needle for sewing

Recommended Yarn and Hook Size
I recommend using Lion Brand Mandala Ombre for this project and a 6mm hook. This is a Worsted/4 yarn that is very plush and soft. It comes as a self-striping cake and this project will use just under 1 cake. The pictures featured in this pattern are made in the color Joy. If you do not have access to purchase this yarn, any similar weight yarn will work.

Sizing and Gauge
You do not need to meet an exact gauge to make this project. The finished size of this project measures approx. 9 inches wide by approx. 35 inches long. Your finished size may vary slightly due to your personal style and tension. To adjust your size, you can use a different size crochet hook or adjust your starting chain and add or decrease the number of pattern repeats to adjust the length.

Using Other Yarn Weights
This pattern was also tested using a DK/3 weight and a Bulky/5 weight yarns:
• For the DK Weight, the hook size was changed to H/5mm and took approx. 425yrds of yarn.
• For the Bulky Weight, the hook size was changed to M/8mm and took approx. 250yrds of yarn. Additionally, 3 buttons that were 1 ½” were used instead of 4.
Keep in mind that yarn thickness varies widely from brand to brand, so you may need to adjust your hook size, starting chain lengths, and total amount of yarn needed for your project.
