Worked seamlessly in the round from the bottom up. The brim is corrugated rib worked in 2 strands of yarn of the same color. The brim is doubled and knitted closed like one does a 3-ndl bind-off.
The doubled corrugated rib brim is very comfortable and fits closely to the forehead and around the ears for a warm hat. The fair-isle hat body is both beautiful and warm.

US 5 circular and dpns. Gauge 28 sts, 25 rows = 4”

My samples/models are worked in Kelbourne Woolen’s Andorra yarn. This is a soft 60% Merino wool, 20% Highland Wool, and 20% Mohair yarn. It will become more beautiful when worn in rain, snow, damp air - the heat from the head and the dampness will make the hat get a fuzzy halo.

You will need less than 1 skein of each color for the Small and Medium sizes. You will need 2 MC and 1 cc skeins for the Large.

It is a fun yet challenging hat to make - so rewarding to see the progress and to make the beautiful crown on the hat at the end.
