Knit a big squishy Heart cushion in chunky yarn to brighten up your room.

Decorated with contrasting heart motifs, this pattern is a nice introduction to colourworking with lots of photos throughout the pattern to help you on your way. You can knit these hearts in Super Chunky yarn on 9mm knitting needles, OR Chunky (Aran) weight yarn on 6mm needles- because they’re worked on such large needles each heart knits up satisfyingly fast!

Images show large hearts knitted from King Cole Big Value Super Chunky in Red and Champagne (first image) and Paintbox Yarns Simply Chunky in Washed Teal and Rowan Big Wool in Cerise (second image). The smaller hearts are knitted from Scheepjes Chunky Monkey in Hot Pink and Punch. You can of course substitute any other same-weight yarns and colours that you like. You’ll also need some toy stuffing and a darning needle.
