It’s so squishy, warm, soft and cozy! It beats hot water bottle every time! I ‘m not sure whether it’s the stitch combination or the lovely, tweed yarn (probably both), but I just love this cozy crochet blanket!

The texture is created using front and back post stitches, as well as using back loop stitches. There are a lot of different stitches, and once you establish the base of the pattern it becomes an easy to remember two-row repeat.
YARN WEIGTH: #4 medium worsted weight yarn. I used fabulous Brava Tweed. These are the colors for the lapghan size i made:
C1: Stratus 29507, 4 skeins, 800 m (872 yds)
C2: Rosefinch 29509, 3 skeins, 600 m (654 yds)
C3: Wren 29506, 4 skeins, 800 m (872 yds)

HOOK: 6 mm US J/10 crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge

GAUGE: 3 pattern repeats (15 sts) x 11 rows = 10 cm (4’’) before blocking

Before blocking blanket is approximately:
Without Border: 72 (92, 122, 142) cm / 28.3 (36.2, 48, 55.9)’’ wide and 82 (122, 142, 202) cm / 32.3
(48, 55.9, 79.5)’’ long
With Border: 80 (100, 130, 150) cm / 31.5 (39.4, 51.2, 59)’’ wide and 90 (130, 150, 210) cm 35.4
(51.2, 59, 82.7)’’ long

The pattern is worked in one piece and without any seaming. The body of this cozy crochet blanket is worked flat, back and forth in rows. The border is worked in rounds, on the RS.
