Last year, just as the grass was thinking about starting to grow and a few bright green shoots were pushing through the remaining snow in the garden, a sweet little girl with curly red hair came into our lives. I created these socks, the Sweet Sadie Socks, as the perfect thing to have on your needles and your feet in this time of early spring. They are designed with a charming picot hemmed cuff, a simple, delicate lace motif, two leg options, and an eye of partridge heel. The Sweet Sadie Socks will put you in the mood for some daydreaming (or perhaps knitting!) in the sunshine.

Sizes (based on foot width): Small (7 inches/17.8 cm), Medium (8 inches/20.3 cm), Large (9 inches/22.9 cm)

Materials:
- 2.25 mm/US 1 needles, or size needed to obtain gauge (in preferred type for knitting in the round) - pointy tips would be an asset when working the lace motif

  • 2.00 mm/ US 0 needles, or one size smaller than needle used to get gauge (in preferred type for knitting in the round)

  • 100 grams fingering weight sock yarn - Ankle Length sample knit with Haven Fibre Arts - Solid Sock, 420 yds per 100 grams in “Lullaby”. Quarter Length sample knit with Prairie Dye Studio - BFL Sock, 450 yds per 114 grams in “Duchess”.

  • Crochet hook, waste yarn, tapestry needle, stitch markers

This pattern has been Tech Edited and Test Knit.
