These socks are my standard base for most of my designs. It’s a great pattern for beginner sock knitters and can be tweaked with colourwork or texture as desired. I love making plain vanilla socks when knitting with self-striping yarn because the simplicity lets the colours shine! A little contrast for the heels, toes and cuffs can add a little extra something to catch the eye!

*Included at the end are some Kitchener Stitch cheat sheets that you can print out!*

I chose to make this pattern FREE because if you’re new to knitting socks, I want you to have access to a pattern without having to spend money to learn! Sock knitting is so much fun and can become quite the addiction and I want to encourage everyone to give it a try! And if you’ve already knit a sock before, then this can be a good base for you to use and experiment with designs!

As I think of more details, instructions, or variants, I’ll update this pattern. If you find any issues in the pattern, please contact me ( sweetknitsdesigns@gmail.com )and I can help you and adjust the pattern as needed.
