Easy first cabled hat project.

Stretchy rib means that your tension (gauge) isn’t crucial. This one size hat should fit small to medium-large adult heads.
Both beanie and slouchy versions are given. It’s best to use a yarn with a little drape if you’re going to make the slouchy version.

Need to make this hat in an extra large size? Woollenwave’s project ’Swerve hat extra large’ tells you how to make one for a head of circumference of 58.5cm to 61cm (23” to 24”).

This pattern was written for The Woolly Brew yarn shop in Pittenweem, Fife, Scotland, where paper copies are available.
