Uncomplicated mitts, with mock cable for crunchy texture.

A pair of mitts uses around 95m of yarn, so you can make a pair out of a single 50g ball of most DK yarns. We used Socks Yeah! DK, in which textured stitches show very nicely.
The pattern has a quick and easy thumb, cast off as you knit the mitt.
The rib makes for a stretchy mitt, which fits from teen through to medium adult.

This pattern was written for The Woolly Brew yarn shop in Pittenweem, Fife, Scotland, where free paper copies are available.
