The Swirl Toque is a pattern written for knitting beginners, in plain language, with no abbreviations. It’s designed to help you practice knits and purls, increasing and decreasing, and construction. I’ve included extensive instructions and photos.

The hat is knitted flat, not in the round, using basic acrylic or wool. You should be able to knit and purl at a minimum; I’ve linked to my website tutorials on anything else required. (For those printing out the pattern, the website pages can be printed as well, don’t worry.)
