I was inspired to design and develop this pattern by the wonderful costumes and knitwear worn by Claire and Briana in the Outlander Series.

These gauntlets as they would have called them in the 18th century (or wrist/ arm warmers as they are usually called nowadays) are knit in the round on double pointed needles with mirrored cables, thus they are seamless and each gauntlet is knitted differently. The pattern is explained in detail. It comes in 2 sizes and includes directions for further custom sizing alterations if desired. It can be made of any worsted weight yarn, but pure wool or wool and alpaca blend will give the best results.
