This is my gift to the knitting community for being like a family to me!
Swordfern was inspired while hiking in the Redwood forests of Northern California. Caliper cables are used to create ferns around the head, with small baubles creating extra interest. This hat has a brim, but it is also easy to choose not to use one! It includes a tubular bind on for the seamless look to the edge of the ribbing. This hat is meant to be a perfect companion to keep you cozy while adventuring in the damp woods.
There is a video tutorial to assist with learning the caliper technique.
