Sydänkäpy (Sweetheart, loved one in Finnish) introduces heart shape motif that is create with new unique stitch .

The pattern includes instructions for two different versions:
For a bigger shawl knitted by 2 skeins of fingering weight yarn
and smaller lightweight scarf knitted by using one ball of silk-mohair & little bit under one skein of fingering weight wool.

Both shawl and scarf are knitted with double yarn from the tip of the triangle upwards, and thus it can be knitted as big as the yarn will last.
The texture introduces new kind of semi-lace stitches and it’s quick to knit because of the rather big needle size (5mm / 8 US)

The smaller scarf pattern yields measurements ca. 50 x 100 cm / 20” x 40”
And instructions for bigger shawl yields measurements of 66 cm x 128 cm / 26” x 50”

Circular needles 5 mm (Us 8) 60 cm / 24”
or 80 cm / 32”
