Syla Voli Shawl

A tribute to strength, hope, and quiet resilience.

Syla Voli — “Strength of Will” in Ukrainian — is a
mosaic-knit half-circle shawl inspired by resilience, beauty, and the enduring rhythm of nature. Flowing sunflower and wheat motifs reflect heritage and hope, carrying meaning in every stitch.

Despite its intricate appearance, Syla Voli uses simple slipped stitches — only one color is worked at a time.

Using simple slipped stitches, Syla Voli creates striking two-color mosaic colorwork without carrying multiple strands, making it approachable even for knitters new to mosaic knitting.

I knitted Syla Voli in four fibers — wool, bamboo-tencel, linen, and hand-dyed wool-cashmere — and each version tells its own story. Your yarn choice can make the shawl rustic, airy, or luxuriously soft.

Each shawl becomes unique through the colors and hands of the knitter, growing slowly stitch by stitch into something personal and lasting.

Designed to be knit slowly and worn often.
