A square-neck summer sweater.
The colorwork is created using slip stitches with only one strand worked at a time, so the fabric never gets thick or bulky, making it a wonderfully light and cool piece for summer.
Though the technique changes between knitting flat and in the round to achieve the same pattern, you’ll easily catch the rhythm once you get used to it! Just be careful not to pull the yarn too tight when working slipped stitches. If your tension tends to tighten during colorwork, we highly recommend switching to a needle one size larger for those sections.

Needle / US2 (2.75 mm) 80 cm (32”) circular needles. If you change the needle size for the colorwork, a needle one size larger is also required.

Note: 16-row pattern repeat (combining MC Stockinette stitch and Colorwork) measures 3.3 cm /1.25” in height.

カラーワーク部分は「すべり目」を使い, 一度に1色ずつ編み進める技法で構成されている. そのため編地が厚ぼったくならず, 夏にぴったりの軽やかで涼しい仕上がりに.
同じ模様を表現するために, 往復編みと輪編みで編み方を変える必要がありますが, コツを掴めばリズムよく編めるようになります. ただし, すべり目を編む際に糸を強く引きすぎないよう注意してください. 配色時に編み目がきつくなりがちな方は, その部分だけワンサイズ太い針に持ち替えて編むことをおすすめします.
