The Tails and Feathers Shawlette …a peacock’s tails and feathers! This shawlette is crescent shaped, and knitted from the bottom up. The border features a majestic cable, lace and bobble peacock tail pattern, while the body consists of a Japanese feather lace. The crescent shape is achieved by working the body in short rows. I used 2 skeins of Cascade’s Elysian Merino Wool blend yarn which is worsted weight and has 219 yards to each skein in the Aruba Blue shade. After blocking, my shawlette is 56 inches in length and 15 ½ inches at its deepest center point. Full written instructions and charts are included in the pattern.
