“Tails of the Sea Socks” are knit toe-up with a pattern of mermaid tails. I’ve knit the socks out of yarn from Work Play Knit in the beautiful colorways “Neptune” and “Rainbow Fish” dyed especially for this design. As a child there was no mythical creature more alluring to me than that of the mermaid. I would spend hours pretending to be one, and imagining swooshing my mermaid tail across the seven seas. This pattern is released on my 30th birthday as a small homage to the wonders of childhood imagination, and with the hope that it will never go away.
