This simple cable scarf has one unusual feature - it is cast on lengthwise and worked down in long rows. Grab your longest needle and cast on!

Gauge is not critical for this project, but will affect the finished size and yardage required.

Instructions are included for any yarn size, to swatch and determine cast on stitches that work best for your yarn.

Sample shown in Fingering weight (1) yarn - Hobbii Twister (Pinstripe), using a US 5 - 3.75mm 60”/152cm circular needle. Gauge for sample is 24 stitches and 32 rows = 4 inches and used approximately 250m/273 yards, and finished dimensions of 54”/137cm long by 8”/20cm wide.
