This is a pattern for a very “long wingspan” crescent shaped shawlette. It is knit in the Estonian fashion, and there are two methods of making the “nupps” contained within the pattern. There are two different lace stitches contained with in this larger shawlette, which measures 68 inches at the widest points across the top and is 22 1/2 inches deep at the deepest point. It is gently crescent shaped., as a result of short row shaping, done without the need of “wrapping and turning.” The shawlette is knitted using one of the heavier of the lace weight yarns, and is knit on size U.S # 5 (3.75mm) needles.

The stitches are both charted and written out line by line.

Skill Level: Intermediate - Intermediate + (assuming a basic knowledge of lace knitting).

This pattern was expertly tested by Rebecca Wood, who can be reached at: rkwood16@gmail.com, and is known on Ravelry as Rebs16. The yarn used in the sample is Helen’s Lace by Lorna’s Laces, and is undyed.
