Needles

• 2.25mm (US 1) circular needles for magic loop method, a set of DPNs or other needles for knitting small circumferences for the ribbing
• 2.75mm (US 2) circular needles for magic loop method, a set of DPNs or other needles for knitting small circumferences for the main fabric

Gauge

• 36 sts and 42 rows measure 10 x 10cm (4 x 4in) over 2x2 rib, using smaller needles, after blocking
• 32 sts and 42 rows measure 10 x 10cm (4 x 4in) over pattern, using larger needles, after blocking
• Swatch to determine the needle size that achieves the correct gauge

Construction

• Socks are knitted from the top down. The cuff is worked in 2x2 rib which flows seamlessly into the main pattern.
• The pattern features an afterthought heel. If desired, the heel can be substituted for another construction.
