Intertwining cables wind across the fabric like grapevines, creating a timeless, unisex accessory. The cabled pattern at the back of the hand and stretchy ribs at the palm and thumb ensure a snug, comfortable fit, and the fingerless style leaves fingers free for knitting, typing, or holding a cup of coffee.

Needles

Gauge

-42 sts and 38 rows measures 10 x 10cm (4 x 4in) over 2x2 rib unstretched, after blocking
- Swatch to determine the needle size that achieves the correct gauge

Construction

• The mittens are knit from the bottom up seamlessly in the round. They can be worked one by one or at the same time using the two-at-a-time magic loop method.

• The palms, thumb, and top and bottom cuffs are worked in 2x2 rib.

• Increases shape ergonomic thumbs, then thumb stitches are placed on hold and finished after the mittens are completed.

• The right and left mittens have different directions for the palm and thumb shaping.
