Tammi socks (oak in Finnish) are knitted toe up, with a gusset and the heel is worked with short rows. There are a thin lines from the toe, which are ended on the instep and hem with small bobbles and in the middle of the leg there is one bigger oak leaf.

1 basic size – ideal for the circumfence 22 cm. Length is adjustable. You can achieve the different size with another yarn (for a bigger size, you can go for a Novita Nalle), or changing size of the needles.

Gauge: 30 sts / 10 cm in stockinette stitch, 44 rounds /10 cm

Needles: the socks are worked on circular needles

  • 2,5 mm needles for the main part of the sock (choose the needle size that gets you closer to the gauge or the size you want.)
  • 2,25 mm needles (or smaller needles) for the hem and eventually for the toes

Yarn: Novita Venla or anoother sock yarn which gaves you the similar gauge

Notions: sewing needle, blocking tools, stitch markers and helping needle
