I wanted a simple knit/purl pattern for a change. This is the modified basket stitch motif that I came up with. I called this Tanela which is Old English for basket.

Gauge – unblocked
10 stitches and 13 Rows = 5 cm / 2 inches in lace stitch pattern on US 8 (5 mm) needles

est. 158 g / 5.6 oz. (229 m / 250 yds)

Yarn Used
Universal Yarn Uptown Worsted 165 m / 114 g (180 yds / 4.0 oz), 2 balls. Colour 314 Lime. Any currently available Worsted (#4) yarn with similar yardage may be substituted.

Needles - US 8 (5 mm) circular, 56cm /22” long, or size needed to obtain gauge
