The Tavern Scarf is the perfect throw around your neck accessory when the temperature starts to drop. A simple pattern, easy to knit and easy to
memorize that works for both men and women.

I wrote this scarf as a gift for my son who is in his second year of college. Not only will he enjoy the warmth that the scarf brings but also the money from the pattern sales will go directly to him, to pay for school. Thank you for your support!

Materials
US Size 6 (to avoid a slight flare at the ends of your scarf, I recommend using a smaller needle on seed stitch)
US Size 8 needle (straight or circular)
Malabrigo Rios (2) or 420 yards of any worsted weight yarn
Darning needle for weaving in ends

Gauge and Finished Measurements
20 stitches and 28 rows = 4 inches, in pattern on size 8 needles, blocked. Finished measurements: approximately 7 inches wide and 72 inches long.

You can easily make it shorter or longer depending on the recipient.
